For hosts
You're the one organizing — here's the full flow.

Sign in with your email
Click Sign in, enter your email, and check your inbox. We send you a one-time magic link — no password to remember. The link expires after one hour.

Create your event
From your dashboard, click New event. Pick a type (wedding, birthday, funeral, trip…), set a title, tell the story (3 paragraphs is perfect), choose a goal in USD, and add categories like "Venue", "Catering" or "Honeymoon". Each category has its own goal so contributors can pick where they want to help.

Share your private link
Once published, you get a link like
chipingo.com/en/e/your-event. Hit Share and pick WhatsApp, SMS, Email, Telegram, or scan the QR code. Only people with the link can see and contribute. Pro tip: share in your closest group first, then expand. - 4
Watch contributions roll in
You get an email every time someone contributes. The live event page shows the running total, who chipped in (or "Anonymous" if they chose to), and any message they left. Every contributor gets an automatic receipt by email.

Receive your funds
When you're ready, head to Settings → Stripe to connect your bank account. Funds are released to you within 2 to 7 business days depending on your country. While your Stripe verification is in progress, Chipingo collects on your behalf — your money is safe and tracked to your event.
For contributors
Someone shared a link with you — here's what happens.
No account needed
Click the link, pick an amount, pay by card. Done. Your card is processed by Stripe — the same processor used by Shopify, Uber, Amazon.
Leave a message
You can attach a short message — congratulations, prayers, a memory. It appears on the host's contributor wall and in their notification email.
Anonymous if you want
The host can let you contribute anonymously. Only the amount goes through — your name stays private.
Automatic receipt
Right after payment you get an email receipt with the amount, the event title, and the date — keep it for your records.
Common questions
How much does Chipingo cost?
3% commission on contributions received, plus standard Stripe processing fees (~2.9% + $0.30 per card). No subscription. You only pay when money comes in.
Can my family in Africa or Europe contribute too?
Yes. Chipingo accepts cards from over 40 countries. Contributors can pay in their local currency — Stripe handles conversion automatically.
What if we don't reach the goal?
You keep whatever was collected. The goal is a guide, not a wall. You can close the event whenever you want.
Is my event visible on Google or social media?
No. Your event is private by default. Only people who receive the link can see it. We don't index events on search engines.
Can multiple people share organizer access?
For now, one person hosts an event, but anyone with the link can see the live stats and the contributor wall. Multi-host accounts are on the roadmap.
